SIPOC stands for Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs and Customers. It is a concise overview of what enters a process, the broad activities, what leaves it and who receives the result.
Read freely. Creating a worksheet requires a verified free beta account. No payment or manual beta approval.
Use it early, especially when several departments disagree about where a process starts or ends.
It gives the team a shared scope and prevents a project from quietly expanding to unrelated work.
Use a flowchart for individual decisions and loops. Use CTQC to turn a customer expectation into a detailed measure.
Fictional example snapshot
A fictional office turns an approved request into a purchase order.
| Suppliers / inputs | Requester / approved need and budget code |
|---|---|
| Process | Validate → Select supplier → Create → Authorize |
| Outputs / customers | Authorized purchase order / supplier and accounts team |
These figures illustrate the method; they are not clinical instructions, universal targets or verified results from a real organization.
